Hello! I was born and raised in New Jersey, so I was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by food so good it felt borderline illegal. I loved recipes, cooking and let’s be honest, eating since I could twirl spaghetti on a fork. According to eye witnesses, this was rather early.
Thanks to my genetic glue gun obsession, I was into art and design since childhood and even have a fancy piece of paper that says “BFA” to prove the lasting effects of said obsession. Eventually baking and pastry came along and said, “Drop everything, we’re your life now.”
So, I did what any mildly unhinged millennial would do with a propensity for eating and a quest for the creative— left my steady job, studied baking for a hot second, dabbled in bread-making, and attempted to learn it all as a bakery chef at a café.
Still unhinged with two small kids, I started Geekamuffins, where I developed my own recipes, perfected ones I learned, honed my aesthetic, and now create treats that are as delicious as they are beautiful—almost always dressed in pink.
Loves: burgers, books, a nice hot cup of tea, dachshunds, condiments, cleaning, English cottages, the color pink (obvi), croissants, coffee shops, gardening, magazines, my flute, the 4 creatures in my home.
Loathes: olives, weeds, not living in England, bagels outside of the tri-state area, chewing sounds, cake decorating.
I can’t wait to share my creations with you. Come on by to a market, find a wholesale spot, or help me build a bakery cart so you can shop there too!
Stay sweet, Alice
